Our Delivery Process

One of the most important things to keep in mind when you are purchasing a new structure is to plan where it will be placed on your property. Among the many considerations for this decision is to make sure you have adequate access to your prepared pad). Fortunately, for your convenience, we have three different delivery methods that can accomodate your building no matter what the size, or what type of access you have available.

Delivery by Truck & Trailer

delivering amish made shed

This is the method most people think of for delivery of your shed. In order to access your prepared pad with our truck and trailer, the path we will use from the street to the pad must be at least two feet wider than your building. If your path to your shed location includes any turns, we will need additional space for navigation. There should also be at least a 14 foot height clearance underneath any overhanging tree branches, wires, etc. Finally, we rely on the cooperation of the weather, as the entire truck and trailer will be driving on your yard right up to the pad. The ground has to be dry enough to eliminate any risk of the rig getting stuck.

Delivery by “Mule”

We often encounter situations where it is not possible to navigate a full truck and trailer into a customer’s yard. If this is the case, our next option is to use the Mule. The Mule is a small, all-terrain mini forklift, like the one shown in this photo. With wide flotation tires positioned underneath the opposite side of the building, the Mule can drive your building across your yard independent of the truck and trailer. This works well in situations involving tight turns, low clearance, or soft ground. Your sales consultant will be happy to discuss this option with you to see if it is feasible in your situation. There is no additional charge for use of the Mule.

Built On-Site

The mule works great for most situations that do not allow a truck and trailer delivery. But there are circumstances where we encounter obstacles (like fences or trees) that will not allow even the Mule to come in with an assembled shed. The solution is to assemble your building on-site. We will deliver your building in a kit form, with the floor and walls pre-assembled in modular sections. We will then carry your shed by hand, piece by piece, to its prepared pad. In this delivery method, we only need is a walkway or single gate for access. This fool-proof delivery process is also used on very large buildings which cannot be transported pre-assembled due to hauling restrictions.
