Historic Structures

We love the challenge of taking modern materials and using them to create structures with true, detailed historic feels and finishes. Consider our New England Barn, with a steep roof pitch reminiscent of New England. Then there’s our Quaker Shed, evoking memories of a simpler lifestyle. Or the Victorian Shed — beautifully fitting in almost any setting. But you are not limited to those; we’ll put our experience, passion, and dedication into your structure no matter what style you are looking for.

A nod to the past

We may be in the 21st century now, but there are still pieces of bygone eras up and down the Northeastern coastline. Stately stone houses. Historic properties. Barns and remnants of structures from when our country was first born.

For more than a decade, our Amish builders in Lancaster County, PA, have been designing and building structures to compliment the historic property they are placed on. Adapting modern materials to match the look and feel of historic structures is a challenge that takes knowledge and attention to detail. These hand-crafted custom-built sheds demonstrate the old world craftsmanship that is still alive and well in Amish Country, where we work hard to preserve our heritage and resources.

Let us show you the detail put into our New England Barn with its steep roof pitch, reflecting New England architecture. Or our distinctive Quaker shed, which evokes memories of a simpler time. Conversely, our striking Victorian Shed offers a versatile option that looks great on almost any property!

But, don’t feel limited! If you have another style in mind or you you’re dreaming of a style that is completely “out of the box”, we want to work with you to design something just for you!

Regardless of what style building you want to create, here are some basic specifications we adhere to for all of our structures:

  • Floor is built with 2×4 pressure-treated floor joists 16 in. O.C. and 5/8″ exterior-grade plywood on top of 4×4 pressure-treated runners
